Sticks & Sneakers League

Sticks & Sneakers is an indoor ball hockey league focused on skill development, confidence, and love for the game. Players learn hockey fundamentals passing, shooting, spacing, and teamwork without the barriers of ice time or skating ability.

This program is ideal for new players, multi-sport athletes, and families looking for an affordable way to introduce hockey concepts before transitioning to on-ice programs.

Are there any fees associated with this program?

The program provides free off-ice hockey equipment for your child to keep as they continue exploring youth hockey. There is, however, a participation fee of $50, which offsets facility and coaching expenses for the duration of the program. 

What are the eligibility requirements for this program?

The Sticks & Sneakers Ball Hockey program is offered to new, first-time participants between the ages of 6-14.

Will there be any skating involved with this program?

No, this program is for ball hockey only and does not require skates. All participants will be required to wear proper athletic footwear (Crocs, flip-flops, sandals, Vans, Birkenstocks are prohibited). Participants who arrive wearing any of the prohibited footwear items listed above will be asked to change their shoes prior to stepping onto the ball hockey rink. 

How early do we need to arrive for the first session?

We would like everyone to arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to your first session in order to check-in, receive your equipment, and ask any questions you may have for the coaches. 

My child cannot make one of the classes. What should we do?

Please make sure to let your coach know that you will not be attending a certain class.
