ACCELERATED LEARN TO SKATE

The Accelerated Learn to Skate program is designed for skaters who are currently enrolled in Learn to Skate or who have recently completed a Learn to Skate program and are looking for additional ice time and instruction to accelerate their development. This program is perfect for skaters who can stand and move independently on the ice and are ready to improve their balance, stride, stopping, turning, edge work, and overall skating confidence. Whether your child is preparing for Learn to Play Hockey, Mite Development, figure skating, or simply wants to become a stronger skater, Accelerated Learn to Skate provides extra repetitions, focused coaching, and a faster path to reaching their skating goals.

Who is this program for?

Accelerated Learn to Skate is designed for children ages 4–10 who are currently enrolled in Learn to Skate or have recently completed a beginner skating program and want additional instruction to improve more quickly.

Does my child need skating experience?

Yes. Participants should be comfortable standing and moving independently on skates. This is not an introductory Learn to Skate class.

What skills will be taught?

Skaters will work on balance, stride development, edge control, stopping, turning, agility, speed, and overall skating confidence.

Do I need hockey equipment?

No. Hockey equipment is not required. A helmet is required, and gloves are strongly recommended.

What should my child wear?

Participants should wear skates, a helmet, gloves, and comfortable athletic clothing appropriate for skating.

Is this a hockey program?

No. This is a skating development program. However, it is an excellent option for players preparing for Learn to Play Hockey, Mite Development, or other hockey programs.

Can figure skaters participate?

Yes. The program focuses on skating fundamentals that benefit hockey players, figure skaters, and recreational skaters alike.

What if my child misses a class?

Missed classes are not eligible for refunds, credits, or make-up sessions.

Can I register after the program starts?

Late registrations may be accepted if space is available. Contact us for availability.

How do I view my schedule?

Your schedule will be available through your Crossbar account and the Crossbar mobile app using the same email address used during registration.
