Knoxville Jr. Ice Bears Present Try Hockey Free Day
Looking for a fun way for your child to try youth hockey in Knoxville? We are excited to be hosting a Try Hockey Free Day for kids ages 5–9 on Saturday, November 28.
This free event is a great opportunity for children who are interested in hockey to get on the ice, try something new, and experience the excitement of the game in a fun, welcoming environment.
Try Hockey Free Day Details
Date: Saturday, November 28
Session Times: 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM
Location: Pro Vision Hockey Academy
Ages: 5–9
Cost: Free
No previous hockey experience is required. All gear will be provided.
Our coaches will introduce young players to the basics of hockey while helping them feel comfortable and confident on the ice.
Why Try Hockey?
Hockey is about much more than learning how to skate, pass, and shoot. Youth hockey can help children develop important skills they can carry with them both on and off the ice.
Players learn the value of teamwork, confidence, perseverance, discipline, communication, and sportsmanship. Hockey also encourages kids to keep trying when something is difficult, celebrate progress, support their teammates, and become more confident in themselves.
For many kids, hockey also becomes a place to build friendships, stay active, and feel like part of a team.
Try Hockey Free Day gives families a chance to experience the sport before committing to a full program and learn more about beginner hockey, Learn to Play programs, and youth hockey opportunities in East Tennessee.
