Jr. Ice Bears Give Back: Pack the Rink for Toys for Tots
This November, the Knoxville Jr. Ice Bears are taking teamwork beyond the ice with a special community outreach mission benefiting Toys for Tots.
Our goal is simple:
Pack the Rink with 200 Toys! 🏒🎁
Throughout November, Jr. Ice Bears players and families are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Toys for Tots collection boxes are located at Pro Vision Hockey Academy in Knoxville, making it easy to drop off a toy while you're at the rink.
Kids Helping Kids in Our Community
One of the things that makes this project so special is that our players have an opportunity to help kids just like them.
From our youngest Learn to Skate participants to our 16U hockey players, every age group can be part of our November community outreach mission.
We're encouraging each team to shop for children around their own age.
Have your player think about a toy they would be excited to receive during the holidays — then choose something similar for another child.
By having every Jr. Ice Bears age group participate, we hope to collect gifts for everyone from little ones through teens and help make the holidays brighter for as many local children as possible.
Which Jr. Ice Bears Team Can Donate the Most? 🏆
We're adding a little friendly hockey competition to our toy drive!
Next to the Toys for Tots collection boxes at Pro Vision, you'll find a list of our Jr. Ice Bears teams.
When you donate:
🎁 Add your new, unwrapped toy to the collection.
✔️ Put one checkmark next to your player's team for each toy donated.
We'll keep track throughout the drive to see which team collects the most toys while we work together toward our organization-wide goal of 200 toys.
Whether your family donates one toy or several, every gift gets us one step closer.
Help Us Pack the Rink
Hockey teaches our players about teamwork, leadership and supporting the people around them. This November, we're giving our players an opportunity to put those lessons into action off the ice.
We hope every Jr. Ice Bears family will join us as we give back to children in our community and show just how much our hockey family can accomplish when we work together.
