Keep your player sharp and game-ready all summer long with our 2026 Summer Development League! A perfect blend of skill development, conditioning, and competitive play.

This league is designed to maintain momentum through the offseason, giving players consistent ice touches in a fun, fast-paced, and development-driven environment. Whether your player is looking to stay sharp, build confidence, or prepare for the upcoming season, this program is built to help them succeed.

90 Minutes of Ice Time – Built for Development and Convenience

Each Summer Development League session provides a full 90 minutes of ice time — combining a structured 30-minute practice with a competitive 2×25-minute game. This extended session gives players the perfect balance of skill work and game play, keeping them sharp all summer long.

For parents, the 90-minute block offers added convenience:

One trip, all the development. No need to leave and return, everything happens in a single session.
Predictable, consistent timing. Makes weekly scheduling easier around work, travel, and summer plans.
Great value. More time on the ice means more reps, more touches, and more development per session.

This format keeps players engaged from start to finish while giving families a smooth, efficient summer hockey experience.

Our Summer Development League is divided into skill-appropriate groups:

Mites: Birth Years 2018 - 2021

Division 1: Birth Years 2017 – 2015

Division 2: Birth Years 2014 – 2011

When

Tuesday Nights

Division 1: 5:30PM - 7:00PM

Division 2: 7:15PM - 8:45PM

Saturdays

Mites: 11:45AM - 12:45PM (1HR)

Supermite League Registration

If your player is a Mite or Supermite (8U) and does not meet the age requirements for the Summer Development League, please do not register for the league. Instead, select our Mite/Supermite Summer League option to ensure your player is placed in the correct group for safety, pace, and development.

If you’re unsure which option is right, contact us before registering and we’ll help place your player correctly.

Practices

30 minutes of focused practice ice to work on skating, puck control, shooting, and game-specific fundamentals.

Games

Following the practice session, players will compete in a full 2×25-minute game with a brief intermission between halves. Coaches manage balanced lines to keep shifts fair, competitive, and development-focused.

Jerseys

All players in the Summer Development League are required to wear the official league jersey. If your player does not already have one from a previous season or has outgrown their current jersey a new jersey must be purchased during registration.

Why We Use Skill-Appropriate Divisions?

Hockey development is most effective when players train and compete with others at similar stages of growth. Separating divisions based on age and ability allows us to:

Balanced games help players develop better habits, make smarter decisions, and stay fully engaged.

Matching size, speed, and strength reduces the risk of injuries and creates a more comfortable on-ice environment.

Coaches can focus on the specific needs of each group, providing development that’s age-appropriate and skill-appropriate.
